Safety noticeSaudi Arabia
Germany's Federal Foreign Office warns against travel to Saudi Arabia. The current warning is no longer limited to the Yemen border region.
| Country | Saudi Arabia |
|---|---|
| Who is affected | Travellers to or through Saudi Arabia |
| Previous rule | The older draft described a regional warning at the Yemen border. |
| New rule | Current travel warning for all of Saudi Arabia. |
The advice checked on 1 November 2026 warns against travel to the entire country. Drone and missile attacks affect several regions. Attacks on airports and energy facilities and last-minute flight cancellations are possible.
Review travel plans, including transit through Saudi Arabia. Check booked flights with your airline or tour operator before heading to the airport. Follow local alerts and official instructions.
This security situation is separate from visa eligibility. An issued visa or a bookable package does not confirm that travel is safe.
