Question 1

Which services does Visumcenter offer?

Accepted Answer

As a visa service, Visumcenter helps tourist and business travellers select and prepare suitable entry procedures. Our second service area is Russian consular services, such as passports, citizenship matters, apostilles and certifications for Russian documents. The specific service always depends on your request.

Question 2

What does Visumcenter handle in a visa application?

Accepted Answer

Visumcenter checks which procedure suits your trip, tells you which documents you need and checks your details before submission. Depending on the procedure, we also handle further steps involving authorities and delivery. The competent authority alone decides on processing times, follow-up questions and whether the visa is issued. We cannot guarantee a particular outcome.

Question 3

How do I find out whether I need a visa?

Accepted Answer

Enter your nationality and destination when you start online. This shows whether a visa or travel authorisation applies to that combination and whether we have a suitable offer. If anything remains unclear, we clarify your case personally before you place a paid order.

Question 4

How can I apply for a visa online?

Accepted Answer

Select your nationality, destination and purpose of travel in the online application. Based on these details, our visa service shows the available procedures, documents and prices. Whether originals, biometric data or a personal appointment are needed later depends on your specific trip and the competent authority's requirements.

Question 5

How do I check the status of my order?

Accepted Answer

Enter your order number and email address on the status page. We send you a six-digit code. Alternatively, open the personal link in our email. There you can see the processing status, outstanding tasks, payment status and your invoices. You can also enquire about another trip there.

Question 6

What experience does Visumcenter have?

Accepted Answer

We have supported travellers with visas and Russian consular services since 1998 and have completed more than 60,000 orders. Our team advises you in German and Russian. The competent authority alone decides on a visa application or consular procedure.

Question 7

Do I need to come to Frankfurt in person?

Accepted Answer

Many visa orders can be prepared online and by post from anywhere in Germany. A personal appointment in Frankfurt is often not necessary. However, some procedures require biometric data, original signatures or an authority appointment. Visumcenter clarifies in advance which route applies to your order.

Question 8

Which documents do I need for a visa application?

Accepted Answer

The documents depend on the destination, nationality, purpose of travel and visa type. A valid passport, a passport photo and evidence of your trip are often required. Do not rely on a general list. You receive the requirements for your specific procedure after making your selection.

Question 9

Can I submit my documents digitally?

Accepted Answer

You can submit many details and documents digitally. The procedure determines whether originals are also needed. Visumcenter tells you which documents are sufficient in digital form. If originals are required, you receive clear instructions on submitting them safely and getting them back.

Question 10

Do I have to send in my original passport?

Accepted Answer

This depends on the visa type and the competent authority. A digital passport copy may be sufficient for an electronic procedure. A visa in your passport often requires the original. Do not send your passport until the requirements for your order have been confirmed.

Question 11

Can we place one order for several travellers or a whole family?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can include several travellers in one order, even with different nationalities. If you are travelling yourself, we copy your details automatically so you do not have to enter anything twice. Documents and prices apply per traveller because each application is checked individually.

Question 12

What makes up the cost of a visa order?

Accepted Answer

The total price includes service and consular fees and any applicable statutory VAT. The price of the selected service or option applies. You see the full amount before ordering. Additional services are charged only by explicit agreement.

Question 13

When do I see the total price for my order?

Accepted Answer

For services you can book online, you see the total price before binding submission. For a personal enquiry, we confirm the service and price before you place the order.

Question 14

How long does visa processing take?

Accepted Answer

The processing time depends on the destination, the visa type and the competent authority. The season, follow-up questions and missing documents can also change the process. Visumcenter reviews your case and gives you an initial estimate. Only the competent authority can set a binding processing time.

Question 15

Are express procedures available for urgent trips?

Accepted Answer

Authorities offer expedited procedures for some destinations and visa types. Whether an express procedure is possible depends on the individual case. Visumcenter checks the available options and additional fees. An express procedure does not guarantee a fixed date or that the visa will be issued.

Question 16

When can I reach the express hotline for urgent cases?

Accepted Answer

In urgent cases, you can reach the express hotline after business hours and at weekends on 0162 3555000. For regular advice during business hours, use Visumcenter's normal phone number. The hotline does not change the competent authority's processing times or decisions.

Question 17

Can Visumcenter guarantee that a visa will be issued?

Accepted Answer

No. The competent consulate or authority alone decides whether to issue a visa. Visumcenter checks documents, prepares the application and supports the submission. This helps us reduce avoidable follow-up questions. However, promising a decision or a processing time would not be honest.

Question 18

What is the difference between a visa and a Russian consular service?

Accepted Answer

A visa concerns entry into another country. Russian consular services, by contrast, concern personal documents and legal matters connected with Russia, such as passports, citizenship matters, apostilles and certifications. A visa for Russia therefore belongs to our visa service area. Each area has its own enquiry route.

Question 19

Which Russian consular services does Visumcenter support?

Accepted Answer

These include Russian passports, citizenship matters and return certificates, as well as apostilles, certifications, name changes and certificates of no impediment to marriage connected with Russia. Powers of attorney, translations, pension matters and the resettlement programme can also be the subject of a personal enquiry. We clarify the right service in a personal conversation.
