Entry rulesIndia
The Home Ministry lists two more airports and nine land crossings for eVisas. The chosen entry point must match the issued visa.

| Country | India |

| Who is affected | Travellers holding an Indian eVisa |
| Previous rule | Entry through previously authorised points. |
| New rule | Two additional airports and nine land crossings according to the ministry. |
The official announcement of 10 August 2026 lists eleven additional entry points. They include Bhopal and Tirupati airports and nine land crossings.
This does not allow eVisa entry at every border. Check your intended arrival point and the conditions of your authorisation on the official eVisa portal before booking.
For overland travel, the specific crossing must also be open and usable. The ministry's announcement does not confirm that every route is operating today. The permitted length and purpose of stay still depend on the issued visa.
