Entry rulesCanada
Canada's temporary Ebola measures last until 27 November 2026. Affected residence or travel history and possible exemptions determine the impact.

| Country | Canada |
|---|---|
| Who is affected | Foreign travellers with affected last residence or travel history |
| Previous rule | Previously stated end date: 28 September 2026. |
| New rule | Extended until 27 November 2026 at 23:59:59 Eastern Time. |
IRCC gives 27 November 2026 at 23:59:59 Eastern Time as the end date. Certain immigration documents are suspended for foreign nationals who listed the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda or South Sudan as their last country of residence in their application. Nationality alone does not determine this classification.
Foreign travellers who have been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo within the past 21 days are generally prohibited from boarding and entering; official exemptions require separate checks. Eligible arrivals may face health assessments and quarantine.
Check document status and any individual exemption before departure. An existing visa or eTA may not be sufficient.
